Wow, how are we in September already? As we enter Spring in Tasmania, I personally am beyond excited to see the city of Launceston springing back to life (quite literally!) With the blossoms in full flower along Howick Street and the frosty winter mornings dog-walking on the Seaport behind us, Spring weather is warmly welcomed in the Northern part of the state.

It has certainly been a busy month for all of us here in the Tasmanian real estate market. Whether you’re buying or selling property, this is a fast-paced market and often times hard to keep up with.

But fear not! Our monthly market updates will help keep you in the know.

September update

This month we bought 11 properties for our buyers, primarily in cities around Tasmania. Launceston was our top performer, with sales averaging at $600,000 per property.

Interestingly, properties are being sold and under contract within 7 days of going online. Thus you may be interested in engaging a buyer’s agent to make a purchase for you off-market before a home is even listed for sale.

After a 26 per cent price increase in houses across the state, there’s never been a better time to invest in Tasmania’s booming property market.

Spring in Tasmania

On a fun note, as we enter the Spring season in Tasmania, here are a few of our favourite places to visit across the state this season:

The tulips at Table Cape Tulip Farm are in full bloom during the month of October.

A visit to Launceston’s Harvest Farmer’s Market is sure to yield good results. Don’t miss Sandy’s sourdough!

And finally, Effervescence Tasmania arrives in mid-November, a celebration of champagne at Josef Chromy’s.
